The Wood Hounds

Dan and Joe catch up on their lives after missing the previous week's podcast episode.  The big thing, just two weeks away, is the International Firewood Expo 2025, May 2-3 in Cortland, Ohio.  Fun for all!!

Dan and Joe discuss a cruel reality of the firewood industry. WAYYY too many people, customers and producers, seem to have a lackadaisical attitude about accuracy of quantities.  Is there any other product in the world that is routinely purchased where the actual quantity is usually wrong?!

Our two favorite Wood Hounds, Dan and Joe discuss the coming spring and the realization that not all is great when warm weather returns.  It seems there is a delicate balance between working outside and avoiding sun exposure.  

Dan discusses his experience developing his Mini Firewood business.  He recaps his attendance of the Home and Garden Show in Minneapolis and highlights some similarities of his business with the "traditional" firewood delivery industry.

Dan and Joe discuss the  new TimberOX Summit log splitter that is now for sale and ready for purchase.  They both played a role in this new machine's creation and were both able to run the final product.  Their final verdict/?  It's AWESOME!
