After a VERY long and busy four-and-a-half-day weekend, Dan and Joe share their thoughts (and aches and pains) for their 2022 Paul Bunyan experience.  Sure they aren't getting any younger, but for an exciting expo that comes once a year our Wood Hound hosts will do their best to bring the excitement to you with this episode.  Now let the countdown begin for a return visit to Cambridge, Ohio in 2023!

Today Dan shares with us his recent vacation and firewood excursion to Washington State USA.  Not only did he get in some much needed rest and relaxation but he had a chance to meet another YouTube channel, a fan of his channel, and become acquainted with the Douglas Fir!

Today Dan interviews Joe about his recent trip to Finland to tour the Japa Firewood Processor's factory in Haapajarvi, Finland AND his opportunity to visit FINNMETKO, Finland's national timber show.  Joe shares what he learned about the firewood industry in the Nordic region and how these innovative machines are finding a foothold in North America.

Dan and Joe go WAY off on a tangent discussing how a tree ever became a candidate for firewood in the first place.  They trace a stick of firewood all the way from a lone seed 100 years ago to being harvested by a logger clearing land.  Hilarity ensues!
